What is a Quat Sanitizer?
Quaternary ammonium (or quat for short) are harsh fumes used as an active ingredient in disinfectants. Quat sanitizers have been found to be highly efficient virus and bacteria killers. Certain facilities and food service locations have reduced or restricted the use of quat sanitizers for safety purposes.
Therefore, quat-free sanitizers are specifically designed for processor plants who can't use quat disinfectant within the facility. The key feature of quat-free sanitizing is that it leaves no residue behind on the surface area.
